Global Sources Hong Kong Fair 2025
Global Sources Hong Kong Fair 2025: A Three-Phase Showcase of Innovation
Phase 1 (Oct 11–14): E-Sports Takes Center Stage
Kicking off with the theme "Future Tech & Leisure," Phase 1 of the Global Sources Hong Kong Fair placed the rapidly growing e-sports industry in the spotlight. With the global e-sports market now valued at over $1 trillion, this phase attracted more than 200 exhibitors, including prominent brands such as Mchose and AULA. Together, they showcased over 150,000 products, ranging from ultra-smooth high-refresh-rate monitors to advanced AI-powered streaming kits designed for professional gamers and content creators. A major highlight was the 2nd KOL & Buyer Gaming Awards, where Titan Legion's curved gaming monitor was named a winner, helping to set new B2B standards for display performance and design. In addition, an E-Sports Innovation Forum, co-hosted with Hong Kong Cyberport, brought together industry leaders to explore emerging topics such as AI-driven player analytics, fan engagement technologies, and cross-border talent development for the gaming sector.
Phase 2 (Oct 18–21): AI Transforms Daily Life
Under the title "AI+ Ecosystem Fusion," Phase 2 demonstrated how artificial intelligence has moved beyond novelty to become an integral part of everyday life. This phase featured approximately 2,000 exhibitors debuting a wide range of AI-driven consumer products. Notable innovations included Creek Wearable's health-tracking rings, which provide real-time wellness alerts powered by GPT technology, and ZWEAR's translation glasses, capable of converting speech between multiple languages instantly. Sustainability and personalization also emerged as key themes, with Yoose's minimalist alloy razors and Petsuper's smart self-cleaning litter boxes drawing significant buyer attention. The Global Sources Innovation Awards, organized in partnership with the European Product Design Award (EPDA), honored 40 industry leaders, including HTC's VIVE Focus Vision headset, for breakthrough design and functionality. High-level summits on AIoT (AI + Internet of Things) and green technology attracted over 5,000 attendees, reflecting surging industry interest in connected, eco-friendly solutions.
Phase 3 (Oct 27–30): Outdoor & World Cup Buzz
The fair concluded with Phase 3, themed "World Cup & Outdoor Vibe," which strategically tapped into pre-buying momentum for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Around 600 exhibitors presented an exciting array of outdoor and sports-related products, including premium camping gear, Li-Ning's officially licensed soccer kits, and augmented reality (AR) fitness equipment. One standout was a Red Dot Award-winning smart gym mirror that provides interactive, AI-guided workouts from home. Pickleball, a rapidly growing sport worldwide, gained notable traction at the fair; on-site trials led to a measurable 30% increase in related equipment purchases. Shenzhen's Dongcheng Electronics, a regular participant, successfully secured major orders from buyers in the European Union and the Middle East, demonstrating the fair's continued value as a deal-making platform.
O2O Synergy & Future Trends
A key differentiator of the event was Global Sources' effective O2O (online-to-offline) integration. Before the fair even began, an AI-powered "Smart Show Planner" helped match over 100,000 products with relevant buyers. During the onsite talks and demonstrations, more than 12,000 intent orders were generated. To encourage international participation, non-Hong Kong buyers received complimentary airport tickets and gifts, contributing to a 45% increase in attendees from Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Three overarching trends defined the 2025 fair: e-sports evolving into a mainstream lifestyle category, AI becoming a reliable "human partner" in daily tasks, and outdoor technology becoming more accessible to everyday consumers. Global Sources CEO Hu Wei commented, "We are co-creating the future with our exhibitors and buyers." Reflecting strong satisfaction, 92% of exhibitors have already rebooked for the 2026 edition.
